Last night Trevor went to his first officical sleepover. His new best friend, Jabari, is just like him- hyper, loud, and way into comic books. They even create them together. Jabari's mom took them to the movies, CiCi's, and then home where they stayed up past midnight watching tv. I was so excited for him, whereas other people, who shall remain nameless, were very worried about Trevor's first night away. He's only ever stayed with us or his grandparents, so this was his first night without family. There were no midnight calls to come pick him up, like we feared. On the other hand, I was encouraged to call and check on him to make sure everything was ok. He came home this morning, exhausted and already asking when we can do it again. I was just informed that our house is boring without Jabari. I'm so happy that he's got a good friend, but I dread the inevitable repeated requests to do it again, especially since it'll be our turn to host it next time.
