What If We Stopped With One?

04/12/2010 21:39

I got the answer to that question on Saturday when Trevor and I spent the day together by ourselves (which I'm just now writing about due to my Internet being down for 2 days...grrr!) We went to the movies, Rita's, Gamestop, and Target.  I didn't have to make a million stops at every bathroom in each store, didn't have to change poopy diapers on those less than sanitary changing stations, or deal with anyone's meltdowns.  We had a very peaceful, serene day in which we received each other's undivided attention.  I thought for a moment that that's what it would be like to only have one child- quiet and peaceful.  It would be an easier life, sure- cheaper by a mile.  But, there would be so much missing from my life...our lives. I adore my son, but I feel incredibly lucky to have the experience of rasing both a son and daughters, because after spending a day doing boy things, I got to come home to these beautiful girls.
